# Importer settings

> Importer settings control delivery, development testing, validation behavior, unmatched data, language, branding, and the importer presentation.

## Delivery

Choose **OnData Callback** to hand validated rows back to your React application, or **Webhook** to send them directly to a server endpoint.

See [Delivery modes](https://www.csvjetty.com/docs/concepts/delivery-modes), [Callbacks](https://www.csvjetty.com/docs/callbacks), and [Webhooks](https://www.csvjetty.com/docs/webhooks).

## Development mode

Development mode lets you exercise the upload flow without consuming the monthly import allowance. The importer displays a development notice while you test. Turn it off before production.

## Validation behavior

- **Skip invalid rows:** exclude rows that still fail validation from delivery.
- **Require valid rows:** prevent the import from continuing while any row fails validation.
- If both are disabled, users can continue even when some values still fail CSVJetty validation.

Always validate delivered rows again on your server.

## Unmatched columns

Enable **Include unmatched columns** when source data that was not mapped to a configured field should travel with each delivered row. Extra fields appear under `_unmatched`.

Leave this disabled when delivered records should contain only explicitly configured destination fields.

## Presentation settings

| Setting | What it changes |
| --- | --- |
| Welcome message | Markdown-style introduction shown before upload. |
| Welcome display | Show supported columns as a table, list, or hide them. |
| Color palette | Choose the importer accent palette. |
| Hide example download | Remove the generated sample CSV download. |
| Hide CSVJetty branding | Remove the Powered by CSVJetty label on supported plans. |

Use importer preview in the dashboard to review presentation choices without delivering data or consuming upload allowance.

## Language and encoding

CSVJetty currently includes English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Dutch, Italian, Arabic, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, and Finnish.

CSVJetty detects common UTF-8 and UTF-16 encodings and can fall back to Windows-1252 for common legacy exports. The encoding selector can be hidden when automatic detection is preferred.
