Configure
Importer settings
Configure CSVJetty delivery, development mode, invalid-row behavior, unmatched columns, language, examples, branding, and importer presentation.
Importer settings control delivery, validation behavior, development testing, unmatched data, language, and the presentation users see when they open the importer.
Delivery
Choose OnData Callback to hand validated rows back to your React application, or Webhook to send them directly to a server endpoint.
See Delivery modes for the architectural difference, then use the dedicated callback or webhook guide to implement it.
Development mode
Development mode lets you exercise the upload flow without consuming your monthly import allowance. The importer displays a development notice so the environment is clear while you test.
Turn development mode off before production
Validation behavior
- Skip invalid rows excludes rows that still fail validation from delivery.
- Require valid rows prevents the import from continuing while any row fails validation.
If both settings are disabled, users can continue even when some values still fail CSVJetty validation. Your server should always validate delivered records again before persistence.
Read Validation and corrections for the complete model.
Unmatched columns
Enable Include unmatched columns when you want source data that was not mapped to a configured destination field to travel with each delivered row.
Extra fields appear under _unmatched. Leave this disabled when you want the delivered record shape to contain only fields you explicitly configured.
Presentation
| Setting | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Welcome message | Markdown-style introduction shown before upload. |
| Welcome display | Show supported columns as a table, list, or hide them. |
| Color palette | Choose the importer accent palette. |
| Hide example download | Remove the generated sample CSV download. |
| Hide CSVJetty branding | Remove the Powered by CSVJetty label on supported plans. |
Use the importer preview in the dashboard to review these choices without delivering data or consuming upload allowance.
Language and encoding
Set the importer's default language and optionally show a language selector to users. CSVJetty currently includes English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Dutch, Italian, Arabic, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, and Finnish.
CSVJetty detects common UTF-8 and UTF-16 CSV encodings and can fall back to Windows-1252 for common legacy exports. You can hide the encoding selector when you want the importer to rely on automatic detection.
